The Review
On January 19, 2007 this film The Hitcher was released and Ronnie Scheib wrote his review on this movie the same day. He states in his review that this remake of the 1986 horror film failed to make itself was good but it lacked suspense and also personality among the actors.
Mind Altering Horror
There are different types of horror films that are out on the market these days. Some horror films have vampires, zombies and people with supernatural powers. The psychological horror movies seem to mess with the mind because they keep the audience guessing how the movie will end. A psychological thriller works on the imagination and not just the threat of physical danger.
Such movies as Seven, The Sixth Sense and Wait until Dark are just a few examples of a good psychological thriller.
The Article of Goofs
I didn’t realize that there were so many goof ups in this movie. Some mistakes are easy to see so quickly. Different movies have their share of goofs but The Hitcher had more than I expected.
One revealing mistake was when water was poured on the windshield of the car and water hit the camera lens. Also the wind shield in some scenes was slightly broken while at other times in the movie was completely shattered I will be looking out for all the different goofs next time I watch this movie.
In My Own Opinion
I really like to watch a wide variety of movies. This film might not have got the best of reviews but I still enjoyed it. A lot of remakes aren’t as good as the original but I enjoyed watching this action packed horror film.

Sean Bean At His Best
There are so many different faces to this great British actor Sean Bean. He has been acting in a variety of movies which include drama, horror, mystery fantasy and comedy since the 1980’s.there is another side of him that shows how multitalented he really is.
In November 2002 Sean played the title role in Shakespeare’s Macbeth at the Albery theatre in London. Also he has done T.V. commercials for Accuview contact lens and also for Marks and Spencer. It seems there is no limit for this intelligent actor because his many different talents really show in all of his work.

To Have Freedom of Expression in Writing and Hoping the Reader Enjoys It
Emily Dickinson was a highly acclaimed poet in the 1800’s. Of all the 19th century American Poets she was considered the most original. Emily was born in 1830 and after her death in 1886 her family put together a collection of over 400 poems. Below are a few lines from her poem Because I Could Not Stop for Death.
Because I could not stop for Death,
He kindly stopped for me;
The carriage held but just ourselves
And Immortality.
I believe in having passion about anything I write which helps me express what I am trying to say. To have so many good ideas that stay in the structure and keep a strong focus on what I am trying to write about is very important. The writing of poems to me is like freedom of expression. The use of so many different words in a way that comes together to get the meaning across.
I try to make a list of ideas that pertain to my subject at hand but some of them don’t make it in my writing. I am trying to improve on my writing by staying focused more and being less distracted. Proper grammar and sentence structure is great but even with this the reader can get lost if the writer doesn’t keep a good story line and stick to the subject at hand. I want to give my audience all I can in my writing so they will want to read more but also enjoy what they are reading. Wanting to accomplish this I find myself writing and rewriting more which includes quite a few rough drafts. When I revise and edit my writing it takes me a while because I want to make sure I have stayed on track and my punctuation, spelling, and sentence structure are like they should be. Writing should be fun but what makes it better to me is that the reader can enjoy it more than I do writing it.

Take One Day At A Time and Know There is Someone There For You
Music is my passion, it soothes my soul. When I listen to a variety of songs there are some that I feel more than others. When I was in Desert Storm I listened to some of my favorite songs by Tina Turner, Otis Redding, and especially Bill Withers. His song Lean on Me helped me in times of knowing that I was being carried by loved ones back home.
Sometimes in life we may hope to have that special friend that will be there for you in good times and bad. The weary times of life are not as weary as we think because of the helpful hands of others that to be strong and to lean on. Special friends understand but you know you are never alone when life tosses you around. Knowing there is hope in their hearts for you when danger of darkness is all around in the desert.
Friends and their letters of love kept carrying me when I couldn’t carry myself. Prayers, letters and knowing I had my family’s support always brought a smile on my face. During the days of eating the sand, fighting off the scorpions and camel spiders I still kept my spirit high. It was the letters of friends and loved ones that kept me knowing everything was going to be alright. They carried my soul with love from far away until I reached home once again from another duty overseas.

Suspense Might Not Be Reality But It Sure Can Awaken The Mind
James Brundage compares the opening of the movie to the death that occurs on the roads each year. Good information but doesn’t pertain to picking up a hitchhiker. To believe kindness of man became fear and foolishness of being naïve. To be tormented in the desert of New Mexico by human kind. It illuminates the hitchhiker’s thoughts of what’s ahead. Forgetting the lack of thought in bringing across how the characters got together. Slow in relating to form a plot of how it was made or got started.
We see that their names were of learning in the desert of mystery. Many things kept you watching in the suspense of this sociopath, around the corner of his craftiness. Empty parts kept the movie impossible to take your eyes off of it slightly. Not wanting to miss what will be next. Destruction of his human mind at hand by darkness of his own life of unhappiness.
I agree that the suspense of the next move of the hitchhiker kept me watching the whole movie. Relating to real life he directed it to life as out in isolation. What’s really there? I agree that the story line could be put together better, but a plot well taken in the mystery moves of the hitchhiker’s mind. Direct action awakens to all human minds.
This script was breath taking as to be on guard at all times. Never to always trust people, better to walk to live out the night of darkness. Think before you leap in anyone’s car at the late night hour of darkness.

Torture From A Twisted Mind For Fun
I like a wide variety of movies but I love a good suspense. There is nothing like a thriller when you don't know what to expect. If you want to take a wild ride then you need to see " The Hitcher". Come along on a journey with a couple out on a road trip. This movie will make you think twice about hitchhikers out on the road. Appearances can be very deceiving especially when it is not known what's going on inside their heads.
The psychotic hitchhiker in this movie is one you don't want to meet. He is a relentless killer and not to be taken lightly. Wrong place and wrong time could have a meaning for this couple. No one knows who he is or worst of all what he's after. He has his own way of making this couple face their fears. The open road becomes paved from the shed of blood throughout the movie so be sure and hang on to your seat. There is an alternate ending that is extreme and all the bonus features are a must see.
There is a lot of twisted metal along with the spill of blood. All the stunts makes the crashes look so real and with all that action comes more suspense. You just don't know who will make it to the end. By the end of the movie you just might know why the hitcher is doing the crazy things that are in his head. Tormenting this couple seems to bring this man pleasure. Is he on a personal mission that is making him do these eerie things? If you're up for a wild road trip , hop in. This thriller will make you think about who you can and cannot trust. Think twice about stopping for strangers and giving them a ride. The producers of Texas Chainsaw Massacre had their hands in this one. They really showed how scary a situation like this could be.
